Royal Philips, the parent company of Philips Healthcare, has signed a deal to install its Radiology Operation Command Center software at imaging centers run by outpatient imaging operator Akumin.
Radiology Operation Command Center is vendor-neutral radiology communication and developmental workflow software that aims to improve communication between radiologists, radiologic technologists, and imaging operations personnel who manage multiple centers.
Akumin operates more than 130 outpatient imaging centers in the U.S., and this is Philips' first large-scale commercial command center customer in North America.
Together, Philips and Akumin also will create clinical standards for Akumin's MRI and CT systems.
