Philips Healthcare parent company Royal Philips has signed a deal to acquire the France-based medical technology firm Cardiologs, a developer of software for electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis and reporting.
Cardiologs develops software based on artificial intelligence and cloud technology to analyze and report ECG data. The deal will further strengthen Philips' cardiac monitoring and diagnostics offerings, according to the company.
The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to be completed in the coming months. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
