The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) plans to bestow its Life Member award and announce two new fellows at its annual governance and House of Delegates meeting in Orlando on June 24.
The awardee is Cindy Daniels. Daniels joined ASRT in 1984 and has been active in the organization for nearly 40 years. She served on the society's board of directors between 2003 and 2008, has mentored participants in the ASRT Student to Leadership Development program, and represented the Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists in the ASRT House of Delegates. She has been an ASRT fellow since 2011.
The society also bestowed Fellow status on Kevin Clark of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and on Megan Trad, PhD, of Texas State University in San Marcos. The ASRT Fellow designation recognizes members who have made significant contributions to the profession and to the society.
Clark has been a member of ASRT since 2014 and has served on its Radiologic Technology Editorial Review Board, Committee on RT Advocacy; in its Professional Mentor program; and on its Foundation Research and Grants Advisory panel. Trad joined ASRT in 2007 and has served as chair of the Radiation Therapist Editorial Review Board and is currently a member of the ASRT's International Speakers Exchange Award Review committee, its Hybrid Imaging White Paper workgroup, and its International Speakers and Corporate Sponsored Programs Review committee, the society said.
