AuntMinnie.com Cardiac Imaging Radiology Insider

Dear Cardiac Imaging Insider,

If we needed a reminder that cardiac imaging is a multimodality enterprise, this month's newsletter provides the evidence.

First up is our Cardiac Imaging Insider Exclusive, provided to Insider subscribers before it is made available to other AuntMinnie.com members. This month we look at new studies on the performance of echocardiography in infective endocarditis and acute coronary syndrome (ACS).

Speaking of ACS, another recent story showed what may be the first published multislice CT images of plaque rupture. We also have a story on MDCT's apparent potential in assessing left ventricular function.

EBCT calcium scoring gets a boost from a large-scale study on coronary risk assessment, while 4D MRI is now being investigated for mitral valve insufficiency. PET also appears in our pages as an alternative to cardiac catheterization after nondiagnostic SPECT.

All these and more cardiac imaging stories are listed below. And as always, I welcome your story suggestions and feedback.
