Huntleigh claims lion’s share of handheld Doppler market

Medical ultrasonic developer Huntleigh Healthcare said that it has been identified as the leading manufacturer of handheld Doppler units in the U.S., with a 46% market share, according to a report published by market research firm Medtech Insight of Newport Beach, CA.

The Eatontown, NJ-based firm said it has been able to secure the leading position and grow its business nearly 20% in the last year due in part to increased use of its products in the primary care setting, including family practice and ob/gyn offices, as well as strong growth in the vascular arena.
