Toshiba America Medical Systems has added 4D imaging technology into the company's compact Nemio ultrasound scanner.
Nemio's 4D imaging capabilities will include automated 3D volume acquisition, which reduces operator variability and improves imaging accuracy, according to the Tustin, CA-based firm.
The company said the system can also provide simultaneous display of real-time 2D images and continuously updated 3D volumes, to improve precision and provide immediate access to study results. In addition, postprocessing tools will allow clinicians to optimize 3D volume datasets for the best possible 4D display, Toshiba said.
The Nemio system with 4D technology will be debuted at the RSNA show later this month.
