(Booth 922) Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, will demonstrate Mammomat NovationDR, the company's flagship full-field digital mammography system, as well as a new system that will be the firm's platform for digital breast tomosynthesis in the future.

Mammomat NovationDR is designed to handle screening, diagnostic, and biopsy applications, while Mammomat Inspiration is a work-in-progress system designed for screening, with easy functionality to support fast and accurate workflow as well as patient comfort, according to the company. Mammomat Inspiration is prepared for the addition of a 3D tomosynthesis option in the future, Siemens said.

In other product highlights, syngo MammoReport is software to support reading and reporting mammograms in screening and diagnostics. The software features multimodality viewing, including ultrasound and MRI, as well as high-speed access to all image data, RIS integration, and advanced data handling and display.

Also look for Siemens to emphasize MammoTest, a table-based breast biopsy system that enables users to visualize small microcalcifications and diagnose masses. It offers a large variety of needles and wire localization devices.

Finally, Siemens will also talk up its syngo Opdima digital stereotactic biopsy device, which is compatible with Mammomat NovationDR and Mammomat 3000 Nova.
