Image-analysis vendor VirtualScopics has signed an agreement with the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY, to install a GE Medical Systems 1.5-tesla Signa Infinity TwinSpeed MRI scanner at the facility.
VirtualScopics will receive an allocation of time on the new system to support its ongoing research and clinical studies in areas such as image analysis tool development in detecting and analyzing specific structures in volumetric medical images, as well as characterizing minute changes in structures over time, said the Rochester-based firm.
