IRIA showcases radiology's newest developments

AGRA - In this issue we bring you news from the country's largest radiology conference, the 58th annual congress of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA), being held in Agra even as you read this newsletter.

The conference, which started on January 22 and continues through January 25, is an opportunity for radiologists from different parts of the country to meet, network, and most importantly, keep abreast with the newest developments in radiology.

And true to its goal, IRIA 2005 features scientific sessions on a variety of subjects, ranging from 3D ultrasound in gynaecology to MR spectroscopy. The national faculty numbers 100, and 200 faculty have come from overseas. And for the first time, the IRIA is also including live workshops for delegates.

According to Dr B. Ahuja, the organising secretary for IRIA 2005, 2,000 delegates have registered for the conference, held in the city of the historic and famous Taj Mahal.
