Viz.ai plans to highlight data gleaned from a large hospital network based in Texas that demonstrates the efficacy of its Viz Aneurysm software at the upcoming Society of Vascular and Interventional Neuroradiology (SVIN) meeting in Los Angeles.
Viz Aneurysm automatically analyzes CT angiograms for suspected cerebral aneurysm and facilitates referrals, allowing for better diagnosis and patient care, Viz.ai said. In the hospital network, it was used with 1,200 CT angiograms for stroke evaluation across eight stroke centers; of these, 85% of the aneurysms detected by Viz Aneurysm had not been previously referred for follow-up. The median size of all aneurysms was 5 mm and 45% were larger than 7 mm, according to the firm.
