Calibration-source developer Isotope Product Laboratories (IPL) has signed a collaborative agreement with science and technology enterprise Battelle to develop a radiopharmaceutical-grade 68Ge/68Ga radionuclide generating system.
Battelle and Valencia, CA-based IPL said they would be engaging their respective research and development teams and technology portfolios to lay the foundation for extending IPL's existing 68Ge/68Ga generator system into a radiopharmaceutical-grade platform. Scientific development by Battelle staff will be performed at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in Richland, WA. Battelle operates PNNL for the U.S. Department of Energy.
