Temporary shutdown hurts Draxis Health's Q3

Canadian pharmaceutical developer Draxis Health reported that an extended shutdown for scheduled maintenance and repairs in its sterile products area adversely affected revenue in the third quarter (end-September 30).

Revenue for the Mississauga, Ontario-based firm declined 4% to $17.5 million, compared with $18.2 million in the third quarter of 2004. Net income declined to $1.1 million, down from $2.1 million in the same quarter a year ago.
