Gamma camera probe developer Neoprobe reported that continued growth in out-of-warranty service and extended service contracts for its gamma device business helped offset quarterly fluctuations in system purchases in the third quarter (end-September 30).
Net device sales for the Dublin, OH-based company dipped to $1.3 million, compared with $1.5 million in the third quarter of 2004. Neoprobe posted a net loss of $1.3 million, compared with a loss of $239,000 in the same quarter a year ago.
For the nine-month period, net device sales rose to $4.5 million, compared with $4.1 million in the same period of 2004. The company's year-to-date net loss grew to $3.6 million, compared with $1.3 million for the same period last year.
