Medical imaging software developer MIM Software has developed a new version of its MIMneuro application, which it plans to highlight at this week's Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) meeting.
MIMneuro is vendor-neutral software indicated for quantitative and statistical analysis of PET and SPECT brain images. The new version, 5.5.0, will include two enhancements designed for the quantitative analysis of amyloid PET images.
A deformable registration algorithm called BrainAlign now includes the ability to deformably register to multiple templates simultaneously. Local differences in anatomy are resolved more accurately than with affine registration, according to the company.
MIM Software is also releasing its third anatomical brain atlas, which is specifically tuned for performing quantitative regional analysis on amyloid PET images, the company said.
