Nuclear imaging firm Mediso USA has installed its 10th nanoScan preclinical multimodality imager in North America.
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in Cold Spring Harbor, NY, received a nanoScan PET(122S)/CT device. Six out of 10 nanoScan sites have a preclinical PET module, combined with either CT or MRI, Mediso said.
The PET(122S) subsystem is the improved version of the 16-cm wide-bore preclinical PET system. It delivers increased count-rate tolerance and improved time resolution, and the proprietary Tera-Tomo 3D PET reconstruction algorithm results in a uniform imaging resolution of 0.8 mm or less, even at 3 cm off the radial center, Mediso said.
