The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared interventional and ultrasound technology developer Boston Scientific's Emblem MRI subcutaneous implantable defibrillator (S-ICD) system.
The approval also grants MR-conditional labeling for all previously implanted Emblem S-ICD systems, the company said.
Emblem S-ICD is Boston Scientific's latest addition to its line of MR-conditional devices that allow patients to undergo MR imaging, according to the firm.
