Hitachi Healthcare Americas will highlight its SynergyDrive MR workflow engine at next week's RSNA 2017 meeting in Chicago.
Designed to address bottlenecks in the MR scanning process and speed up throughput, SynergyDrive offers automated patient registration, prepopulation of scanning protocols, streamlined patient positioning and setup, and Auto Image Load -- a feature that helps prepare the next scan, according to the vendor.
SynergyDrive also includes a number of sequences and image processing tools designed to improve image quality and reduce patient callbacks, the company said. It is a standard feature on Hitachi's Echelon Oval 1.5-tesla MRI scanner.
Evolution 6, the latest version of Hitachi's MR operating system, will also be on display. It supports faster multiphase dynamic imaging with the company's fat separation time-resolve MRA (TRAQ) technique, a better patient experience through Hitachi's Softsound pulse sequences, and high-resolution free-breathing abdominal imaging and enhanced metal artifact reduction with the vendor's HiMAR capability.
In ultrasound, Hitachi will demonstrate Arietta 850, the company's flagship ultrasound platform that supports Hitachi's linear 4G capacity micromachined ultrasound transducer (CMUT) probe, a transducer made using micromachined capacitive cells in place of conventional crystals. The resulting 2- to 22-MHz bandwidth enables a single probe to be used for a wide range of exams. Meanwhile, Arietta 850's workflow automation features reduce exam time and key strokes.
On the CT side of the booth, Supria True64 is a compact, economical 64-slice CT scanner with 40-mm detector coverage. It is also compliant with the XR-29 Smart Dose standard and includes an eco mode that reduces power consumption by 55%. The scanner received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in September.
Hitachi is also highlighting its work in information technology at RSNA 2017. It will demonstrate the company's Hitachi Vantara offerings, which include vendor-neutral archive and Hitachi Clinical Repository software. Vantara personnel will also show the company's Content Intelligence platform and data analytics software for healthcare institutions.
