U.K.-based breast imaging technology developer Micrima said it has raised 3.8 million pounds ($5.2 million U.S.) in a new financing round.
The proceeds included 1.9 million pounds ($2.6 million) in the form of a convertible loan note from new and existing investors. That investment was then matched by the U.K. government's Future Fund initiative, according to Micrima.
The company said it would use the new financing to fund its next stage of development and commercialization. Micrima plans to launch the seventh version of its Maria radiowave breast-screening technology later this year.
