Dear AuntMinnie Member,
It's official. The final votes have been counted and the winners determined in this year's edition of the Minnies, AuntMinnie.com's annual event to recognize excellence in radiology.
The 2005 competition involved 206 candidates in 12 categories, ranging from Most Influential Radiology Researcher to Scientific Paper of the Year. Thousands of votes were cast in this year's competition, with nominees navigating a rigorous three-stage selection process.
We'd like to congratulate this year's winners, who will receive handsome trophies to be awarded at this year's RSNA meeting in Chicago. We also offer our thanks to the runners-up and the rest of the Minnies nominees for participating in this year's event.

When you're done checking out the results, visit our CT Digital Community, where we're featuring an article on a prototype 256-channel conebeam CT scanner. Japanese researchers say the system can acquire volumetric data from a beating heart in a single gantry rotation, without cardiac motion artifacts. Get the whole story by clicking here.
