Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer CereHealth has hired James Chomas, PhD, as its new CEO.

A longtime healthcare executive, Chomas founded oncology drug delivery systems developer Surefire Medical (now TriSalus Life Sciences) in 2009. He has also served as director of research at Cabochon Aesthetics and led the development and launch of several imaging products as senior engineering manager for Siemens Healthcare (now Siemens Healthineers), according to CereHealth.

Chomas replaces John Kelley, who has served as CereHealth's CEO since 2009. Kelley will remain as chairman, however, and transition to a new role as executive director, CereHealth said.
