Microsoft has completed the acquisition of Nuance Communications with the goal of building outcomes-based artificial intelligence (AI) software for various businesses, including healthcare.
Mark Benjamin will remain CEO of Nuance and report to Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of Microsoft's Cloud + AI group.
While the purchase amount was not disclosed at press time, previous reports said that Microsoft placed a $19.7 billion bid for Nuance.
