Radioisotope manufacturer International Isotopes of Idaho Falls, ID, reported sales of $686,000, a 7.7% decrease compared with the $743,000 in revenue posted in the comparable quarter one year ago.
For the period (end-March 31), the firm posted a loss of $229,000, an increase compared with the posted loss of $161,000 for the same period in 2004.
According to the firm, the decrease in total revenue was attributable solely to the timing of cobalt product sales in 2004 compared to 2005. International Isotopes also said that the increased fiscal first quarter loss was primarily due to increased operational expenses related to its new fluorine products division.
