PET radiopharmaceutical developer NCM USA said it has opened a new radiopharmaceutical manufacturing center in the Bronx in New York City.
The facility design incorporates full-scale automation, multicompound processing capability, good manufacturing practices (cGMP) compliance, and built-in redundancy to produce clinically approved compounds. The center will also produce investigational compounds and provide radiochemical manufacturing, while collaborating in research projects, NCM said.
With several applications in oncology, neurology, and cardiology, and several new drugs in the pipeline, the manufacturing of PET products must advance to support multicompound production, according to the company.
